Our Job

My random thoughts this morning after an unfortunate trip through some very negative social media posts.  This is not directed toward any specific person.

Our job is not to judge each other.

Our job is to love each other.

While I do not believe life or love is about performance, I wonder what would happen if how we lived and what we received was based upon how well we loved or how much we judged?

Perhaps a moment of self evaluation would be handy about now?

Do you deserve a merit raise based on your loving ways?

Or do you perhaps deserve a time of probation to remedy the destructive trait of judging?  Harshly judging one’s self or others is  humanity misspent.

You cannot be fired from life so take comfort in that.  Your thoughts and actions that fall short of love may be transmuted in the blink of an eye setting you free to be love.

Know that I love you just as you are.   I love you enough to challenge you toward introspection, self-forgiveness and personal transformation.

There is an abundance of love, joy, peace and fun awaiting you on the other side of judgement.  Walk this way, peak over the top of those judgmental thoughts and actions.  Yes, right there.  Isn’t it gorgeous on the either side?  C’mon. I’ve saved you a seat.

There’s Something About You

There’s something about you.
The way you smile and laugh and fill up rooms with joy.
The way you get mad, shake it off and move on without grudge or judgement.
The way you run to freshly bloomed roses and bury your face in the petals.

There’s something about you.
Furrowed brows turn into crinkled smiles when a child laughs or proudly does a backflip.
Bowed shoulders carrying others’ burdens straighten up strong and free when the wind blows and the birds begin their song.
Eyes wet with tears of grief begin to glitter and shine when hope rises up to remind you that mercy is new every morning.

There’s something about you.
Other shoppers step around products fallen into aisles but you stop to place items out of harm’s way.
In the midst of your own worries and busyness you stop to sit on a bench and chat with the homeless woman who is lost in her tears.

There’s something about you.
Truth is your path.
Hope is your fuel.
Grace is your power.
Laughter is your magnet.

Love is your something.

Nemesis

Shame is the nemesis of truth and love.

Turn every encounter with this nemesis
into an opportunity to transform and grow.

Overcoming the shame nemesis
is worthy of Olympic gold.

This gold medal includes elements of
freedom,
grace,
transmuting powers,
inspiration,
and peace,
and
so
much
more.

Ever-loving peace.

Shalom.

Whilst the shame nemesis is powerful and not an opponent
to be underestimated
or mocked,
it is no match for love and peace.

Love yourself through the shame nemesis.
On the other side is a sparkly gold medal
full of exceeding abundance.

You are worthy.

You can do this.

Will you love yourself enough to believe the truth of love
over the lies of shame?

I love you.
I believe in you.
You
can
do
this.

The Shadow Of My Heart

Oft times ’tis only the shadow of my heart
which dares peek out of this cave
to test the world’s currents.
Be they love today or more hate?

Ah, hate.

The shadow of my heart dips
back into the cave.

Yet being an optimistic heart,
like the groundhog,
the shadow will appear again and again
until it sees love on bright display.

Ah, love.
Deep sigh of ‘yes’.

Time to play!

The daily adventures of an empath … 🙂

You Are Holiness, You Are Love

There is a natural sacredness in each of us.
We are each a vessel of holiness.

Why is this mysterious to anyone?
Why is this questioned?

You sense your sacred core.
It is reflected in your awe of nature and all of creation.

You sense it in the sunrise that stills your mind.
You sense it in the sunset which steals your breath.

You touch holiness when a newborn baby curls his
fingers around the tip of one of yours.

Your very breath comes in on holy currents soaring through all creation.
The living waters of life flow as a river from your belly.

When your visage stares back from the mirror, God winks and says, ‘hello’.
Why? Because you are made in his image.

Holy.
Blameless.
Blessed.
Loved.
